Why I built CTDI — and who I built it for.

Why I built CTDI — and who I built it for. ·

I was a terrible classroom student.

Not because I wasn't capable, but because the format never suited me.

I couldn't sit still through a lecture. I'd zone out, check the time, and leave feeling like I'd wasted hours I didn't have. My brain worked on Sunday mornings and late Tuesday nights, not on Wednesday at 9am. Nobody was offering that.

So I did what made sense: I worked, I started in admin, figured things out on the job, and somewhere in between, discovered short courses online. And something genuinely shifted. I was learning more, retaining more, and actually enjoying it — because I was doing it my way, on my time, at my pace.

But there was a problem. Without an accredited qualification behind me, I couldn't prove what I knew. The learning counted for nothing on paper — and on paper is still where most decisions get made. I had grown, but I had nothing to show for it. That feeling is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

That gap between genuine capability and recognised qualification is the entire reason CTDI exists.

Because I know I'm not the only one. I see it constantly — high school students who don't know where to start, people in jobs that no longer excite them, professionals who want more but can't step off the treadmill long enough to go back to study. The conventional system isn't broken. It just doesn't work for all of us. And for the ones it doesn't work for, the gap between where they are and where they want to be keeps getting wider.

The world is changing faster than any classroom can keep up with, so everything at CTDI is self-paced. The world is too busy to stop, so everything is fully online. And the world is too expensive to bet on the wrong investment, so our pricing makes sure that's never the barrier.

AI. Digital skills. Sustainability. These are the skills the world is asking for right now — and if you're reading this, you already know you're ready for more. I built CTDI for that person. I built it for the version of me that just needed the right opportunity, in the right format, at the right price — and didn't have anywhere to find it.

Now you do.
